The Hue-Man Podcast

Men‘s health and life coaches, Noam Raucher and Crystal Morris remind everyone that men are emotional, spiritual, intellectual, physical, and most especially, human.

The Hue-Man Podcast - Ep1: Introductions: Interview with Joi Rychelle

Welcome to our brave new podcast. Meet our hosts Joh Rochelle and Noam Raucher. In our inaugural episode Noam interviews Joi. We get to know who she is, her passions, and why helping men grow into healthier and stronger versions of themselves is a focus of her work.

The Hue-Man Podcast- Ep2: Introductions: Interview with Noam Raucher

So glad you came back for our second episode! In this edition the tables are turned as Noam takes the hot-seat and Joi brings the questions. Noam talks about spiritual growth, life as a father, and we touch little bit on what it means to be a rabbi.

The Hue-Man Podcast - Ep 3: - Divine Masculinity vs. Mature Masculinity

In Episode 3 Joi and Noam jump right into the conversation. We start by touching on the balance between semen retention and creativity. And somehow we find ourselves talking about what spiritual growth looks like, as well as the tantric-interplay between the inner-child and the mature-self.

The Hue-Man Podcast - Ep 4: Emotional Intelligence and the Future of the American Man

Junior Senator Josh Hawley gave a speech about the Future of the American Man at the National Conservatism Conference. Joi and Noam respond wisely and passionately to some half-baked ideas about manhood, masculinity and how they might be impacting our country. In the process we also offer our own definitions and understanding of emotional intelligence.

The Hue-Man Podcast - Ep 5: Man Park, Men‘s Groups, Bro-mance, and the Man Box

If you know a guy that isolates and may need some friends, this episode is for you. What got it started? This week, the cast of SNL performed a hilarious sketch called "The Man Park" (Link below). The man park is a place where men can connect with one another and just be guys. Noam and Joi dissect this 3 minute short-film and pull out all the wisdom and guidance about men that it has to offer. Naturally we ask questions like: Why do men isolate? Why do men have difficulty making friends? Where are all the friends that men should have?

During our conversation we also address a larger cultural "Man-Box" that most men find themselves in. The Man Box refers to a set of beliefs, communicated by parents,

families, the media, peers, and other members of society, that place pressure on men to be a certain way. These pressures tell men to be self-sufficient, to act tough, to be physically attractive, to stick to rigid gender roles, to be heterosexual, to have sexual prowess, and to use aggression to resolve conflicts.

The Hue-Man Podcast - Ep:6 - The Creative Power of Paternity Leave and Menstruation.

The great conversation continues as Joi and Noam discuss personal relationships with fathers through lifecycle transitions and personal growth- each in our own respective ways. Its amazing the power that fathers have in family life if we make room for it in unexpected ways. Here's a link to the NY Times article on the effects of paternity leave on the father's brain referenced in the episode.

The Hue-Man Podcast - Ep: 7 - Cultivating an Attitude of Gratitude

Joi and Noam sit down to talk about the practice of gratitude and the powerful impact it can have on our lives when we let it. How do you recognize when you have something to be grateful for? What does gratitude do for you? What's your practice to inspire an attitude of gratitude?

We also have an honest conversation about vaccines and personal health. While this podcast encourages everyone to get vaccinated and boosted, follow pandemic health and safety protocols, get tested, and help ensure the safety of others; we also respect each individuals right to make their own informed decision about their bodies.

Here are the words for the Melody Beattie poem referenced in the episode:

Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity. It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend. It turns problems into gifts, failures into successes, the unexpected into perfect timing, and mistakes into important events. It can turn an existence into a real life, and disconnected situations into important and beneficial lessons. Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today, and creates a vision for tomorrow.

The Hue-Man Podcast - Ep: 8 - The Practice of Accountability

Noam and Joi have a very frank conversation about what it means to take responsibility for something. Moreso, we address how accountability can help us see ourselves in a new light, and improve the relationships in our lives. How do you practice accountability? Do you have a partner or coach that you work with? What does it look like when you take accountability for something and how does it feel?

The Hue-Man Podcast - Ep: 9 - Men and Relationships, Loneliness, and Isolation

As we transition from one year to the next the Hueman Podcast talks about men and the quality of their relationships, or the lacking of their relationships altogether. Friends, what's most important to you? Is it the quality of your work, or the quality of your relationships? Will you look back on the end of your time on this earth and think about all your successes? Or will you think about all the people who you let into your life, and the ones that let you into their lives? Will you think about how you treated people and how you let them treat you?
